Freshly launched this year, ReImagine- Lennon Designs hopes to inspire others with a unique approach on the design industry. Mallory continues to develop her knowledge as a student and looks forward to a bright future in her field.
“I have been working towards my goal of becoming an Interior Designer and am excited to now be on the cusp of making that dream a reality. I spent a semester taking elective courses in hopes of applying to the Interior Design Applied Degree program at Mount Royal University in Calgary. I soon came to learn that the ever so culturally rich City of Fredericton was offering this course in a 2 year program. I jumped for joy. I adore the small cosmopolitan City of Fredericton. I may be biassed, as this is the hometown I grew up in and love. I have also taken numerous art courses, such as: The History of Art: Prehistory to Renaissance, Introduction to Abstract Acrylics, Twig Furniture Workshop, Workshops at the College of Craft and Design, Workshops at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
I started my career in 2005 in the Aesthetics field, where I loved the artistic balance of creating something from a blank canvas. Whether that was a new set of nails or using the tools to create a new confident face. It was the grounding in the fundamentals of the trade that drove me to success. Though leaving the trade was difficult, I knew where laid my true passion and have focused on my goal of being back in Fredericton in hope of a career where my true passion lies. While in school at Mount Royal, I took on working in a custom furniture store, which further educated me on the unique craftsmanship of wood and upholstered furniture design. I am currently working part-time as an assistant to the Director and CEO of the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
The Interior Design program at Centre for Arts and Technology allows creativeness and imagination that I will use to create design solutions. Once admitted into the program, I conveyed with me my enthusiasm, dedication, and a stalwart work ethic. I am proud of what I have accomplished thus far in my life and see much of it as a stepping stone toward a successful future in the design world. I now need to expand my skill set beyond its current level and I see the curriculum offered at the Arts School as the perfect way to do so.”
“My mission is to focus my purpose in life to show poise in optimizing my full potential in achieving a fulfilled life of perseverance. Personal satisfaction in cultivating my knowledge to learn and inspiring to impart skill from life’s relationships. Therefore, I will continue to balance my life’s passion in order to make a progressive impact in my connections and encourage to live as my time is now.”- Mallory Lennon
